Paphiopedilum superbiens (Rchb. f.) Stein

Synonyms:
Paph curtisii

Paph superbiens var curtisii 'Jamboree Gem' HCC/AOS

Paph superbiens is found in a limited area in Indonesia on the island of western Sumatra.  There have been many descriptions over the years distinguishing Paph superbiens and Paph curtisii.  Recent studies have found Paph curtisii and Paph superbiens to be variations of the same species.  Thus, the name of Paph superbiens is the valid and correct name.

A little bit more difficult to grow, seems to like open well draining mixes.
