Paph fowliei, named after Jack Fowlie, was described by Lance Birk in 1981.  Paph fowliei comes from a wide area on the Palawan Island of the Philippines.  Paph fowliei is distinct in how it holds its petals.  There are alba clones that are available.

Plants seems to be easy to grow and flower, preferring an open, draining mix.
