The core principal of our breeding program is innovation, and the creation of new directions. When hybridizing, we use parent plants which are, we believe, outstanding examples of their type. We breed for specific goals in each cross, and select the parents with these goals in mind.
Our catalog describes the goals and expectations for each cross. We tell you what we are trying to achieve, and hope that our descriptions prove reasonable. We offer a spectrum of styles, believing that a good Paphiopedilum collection is one which has a good species base, and a wide range of hybrid styles, both primary and complex.
In 20 years ofPapbiopedilum breeding, we have experienced the rapid evolution of the contemporary Paphiopedilum world, with its cascade of new species, and broad expansion of floral styles. The incorporation of new species has driven the excitement of the genus, and provided creative breeders with an expanding pallette of exciting qualities to work with. As a result, all hybrid styles are becoming diverse, and complex.
Our offerings, as you will see, emphasizes hybrids, especially the Standard style. Our strength, and energy, is in the creation of new directions in breeding, and this catalog is a reflection of that.
It is the art of Paphiopedilums that excites us, and we hope that our efforts will contribute to your enjoyment of them!
