About Me

I would call myself an advanced amateur. I bought my first orchid in Santa Barbara in 1979. I lived in Colorado from 1986-2000 where the collection exploded into 2000 plants. I thinned down on my move back to California but are slowly rebuilding the collection. I am an Accredited Judge for the American Orchid Society. I have two children, both grown, and a beautiful grandson. I love to travel and have been blessed with the opportunity to see orchids all over the world.

I am located in the Harbor Area of Los Angeles, just off the Pacific Ocean. Thus I am blessed with mild temperatures and ocean breezes which the orchids love. I concentrate on Paphiopedilum and Miniature Cattleya's but have been expanding our collection of Lycastes. I make several hybrids during each year, many of which are sold to commercial nurseries. I also offer divisions of our plants and extra seedlings for sale or trade.

I use the proceeds of our sales to support this web site and also the site Paphs.net. This is our gift back to the orchid community. Founded as a place to find Paphiopedilum information on the internet, it has expanded tremendously and takes us a lot of time.
